What to do when you've seen enough of the beach for a while and it's too hot for a nice walk? Here are some suggestions.

Ostrich farmOne of the nicest attractions on the island is the ostrich farm. Take a guided tour and get a real African safari feeling in the open truck. The tour will take you past hundreds of adult ostriches (they have about 700 of them) and new born chicks. Feel how an ostrich eats out of your hand or how it is to ride an ostrich.
The ostrich farm has a restaurant and souvenir shop too, albeit a bit expensive. The view from the restaurant is wonderful.

A visit to the ostrich farm can be combined with a wonderful walk along Sint Joris Baai. Visit the Nature page for a description of this fantastic route.

Divers will have enough to see for themselves under water. For non-divers, the Curaçao Sea Aquarium is a very good alternative. This aquarium shows fish and other sea creatures that live around the island.
For both divers and non-divers, the Dolphin Academy offers swimming, snorkeling or diving with dolphins. It's very expensive, but definitely worth the money. That is according to people I know that did the swim. This time I cannot speak out of own experience (yet).

The zooI know that many people don't like the zoo. It can be a sorry sight, I know, but still I like this place. It's not big, the cages can be too small and there are just too many monkeys. But the garden is beautiful and cool. It's nice to sit here and watch other visitors and the animals.
Entrance is free, so don't forget to give a donation before you leave. They really need the money to give the animals bigger and better cages.
